These following week is gonna be a busy week because it is OSKM 2013 : )
OSKM stands for Orientasi Studi Keluarga Mahasiswa.
Yesterday, I had my first mass Indonesia independence day flag-rising ceremony with aprox. 3000 new colleger! There was marching band ITB, choir, and many things I've never experienced before.
Anyway, I love some new song that's been taught to us; one of them titled "Mentari". It's lyric is catchy because of the historical background of the song. Here is the link and the lyrics:

I also love the echoing sacred greeting of ITB. It says "bakti kami, untuk-Mu, Tuhan, bangsa, dan almamater". Very different from any special greetings I've ever heard. YES, it is sacred.
I am meeting new friends from almost all part of Indonesia; Bandung, Surabaya, Jakarta, Banten, Papua, Toraja, Medan, Makasar, and more! Learning so many new lessons in live.

For several months, GRaBS (a community of youth Christians where I spend plenty of my time there growing up spiritually) has been playing videos of a Christian hip-hop artist/song writer/music producer/recording artist; Toby McKeehan (born Kevin Michael McKeehan; October 22, 1964) or better known as Toby Mac. Today, I met a friend who told me how one of Toby Mac's song inspiring him. The title of the song he mentioned is "FORGIVENESS". Recently, I'm listening to some songs by Lucy Spraggan. Lucy is an English musician with her music mixture consists of folk, acoustic, and hip-hop. She tells great stories!Here is one of my fav <3 Tea And Toast..
The first time I listened to this song I got nearly nothing. But when I listened again carefully, I found out that the song itself is a beautifully written sad-story. My eyes became glistening. I couldn't bear the emotion from the lyrics and catchy accompaniment. Well, you should listen it by yourself. Here is the lyrics:

Lately, I'm just into this song. It is titled - The A Team. The original singer is Ed Sheeran, but personally I love the cover by Lucy Spraggan. The lyric is catchy for me, original, and not boring : )
The different point of view create different messages from both versions.
The original version simply tells about a prostitute's life struggled so much that she resorted to selling her body to earn
money. She might not love it, but it provided an income in general
for the young woman. Later on, the pain became too much for her to bear
and she just wanted to end it all. She traded in her "dirty" money for
drugs.
The cover version tells us about a friendless rich man who falls in love with the girl.

Being single <3(it's a great choice guys! believe me, you are 3 times more productive when you are single).

Cinta masa muda (tapi tetep tau prioritas dan komunitas)
Kelas ter-epic XIIA.
Mengalami masa di mana 251 anak dilawat Tuhan Yesus di kebaktian tanpa batasan liturgi di ruang AVA sekolah : )
4 hari bareng anak-anak OSIS Bandung di gembleng di SECAPA AD, Hegarmanah, Bandung.

Hari yang bakal gw inget seumur hidup gw karena itu adalah hari dimana gw dilantik jadi ketua OSIS EKLESIA 2011-2012. Singkat cerita banyak masalah yang harus diatasi. Simpel saja, gw pidato FORMAL saat pelantikan tanpa teks! Entah ini sesuatu yang membanggakan atau memalukan karena sebenarnya tanpa teks dan hanya membuat point-ponit pidato yang tertinggal di bangku karena MC nya baca terlalu cepat sehingga gak sempet gw ambil. Sedih bener hidup gw : /
Singkat cerita, pelantikan berlalu.. Permasalahan dimulai saat orang menilai gaya memimpin gw.. Entah apa pikiran mereka, mungkin mereka berpikir gw adalah seorang H O M O. Faktanya lebih menyedihkan, jomblo yang memang belum ada yang mau : [ (bohong, kan cuman mau pacaran nanti). Ahahaha..
Di sisi lain ada yang berpikir kalau apa yg gw pikirkan terlalu revolusioner dan muluk-muluk.. Well, I can't judge 'em people have their ways, rite? Gw cuman optimist, yakin, percaya, diimbangi logic yang mengimbangi..
Ada juga yang bilang gw terlalu fokus di OSIS. Hmm.. Sakitnya, orang-orang terdekatlah yang mengingatkan gw. Tidak tahu apa itu baik buat gw atau tidak. Tapi buat pemimpin-pemimpin muda.. Gw mau ingetin kalau lu punya visi HAJAR HABIS SAMPAI JADI selama lu tahu dan yakin itu benar. Keep praying and asking God for His way, not man's way.

Satu yang gw pelajari setelah jadi ketua umum OSIS EKLESIA 2011/2012. Ada keuntungan yang diperoleh dari speak first yaitu mendapat kepercayaan. Masalahnya the louder we speak, the bigger responsibility we get. Dan itulah yang gw rasakan sekarang yaitu pemikiran kalau yang gw lakukan ägak"salah (di bagian terlalu menggebu-gebunya). Saat kampanye jujur gw terlalu menggebu-gebu sampai gw bingung bicara apa.
Kelemahan itu yang gw pelajari terus menerus dan setelah gw selidiki banyak kelemahan yang harus gw perbaiki sebagai leader:
Menggampangkan hal-hal tertentu; tidak boleh berkata gampang/mudah karena membuat anggota kita akan "malas"bekerja dan pekerjaan itu bakal dilimpahkan ke kita semua kalo gitu.. Kan gampang! Hehehe..
Lebih mudah berbicara; gw adalah tipikal orang yang menggebu-gebu kalau bicara dan itu jadi senjata makan tuan buat diri sendiri. Gimana caranya kita membuktikan hal yang kita pikirkan dan belum terjadi. Disitu tantangannya! Gw sangat yakin, ga ada yang mustahil dalam Tuhan dan gw percaya sampai sekarang, Sayangnya, gw baru sadar harusnya iman itu cukup disimpan dalam hati dan diomong keorang-orang tertentu. Bukan buat digembar-gembor ke semua orang. Nasi sudah jai bubur ya apa boleh buat, tinggal pembuktiannya : |
Cara dan apa yang diomong; seorang leader dilihat dari apa yang diomongnya jadi mulai sekarang gw belajar to listen more and talk less but effective. Jadi bicara sedikit tapi menjadi solusi. Keren tuh kalau bisa! Hehe..
Memilih teman bergaul; bukan berarti pilih-pilih teman, tapi punya tempat yang konsisten buat berteman. Pergaulan sebagai pemimpin haruslah luas. Tetapi teman-teman terbaik kita ga perlu dilibatkan, ga perlu orang-orang tahu banyak soal hubungan kita dan mereka. Jaga lah pergaulan. Selain itu bergaul juga dengan grup yang reputasi cukup baik untuk menjaga nama baik. Tapi tidak berarti grup selain itu dibengkalaikan. Susah dijelaskan tapi begitulahhh...
Menjaga hati; pemimpin harus sejarang mungkin galau! Kalau pemimpin galau, bawahannya dan rekan sekerja bisa-bisa drop. Harus pemimpin yang bisa menyemangati dan mengangkat semua satu persatu.
Komunikasi dan koordinasi; sebelum bertindak, konsultasi sama yang ahli dan punya banyak koneksi. Contohnya mantan pemimpin, gembala, guru, sahabat, teman biasa yang paham di bidang tertentu. Agar kita tidak salah arah awalnya dan tidak ada kerugian di acara yang kita buat.. Terlebih semua harus dibicarakan kepada TIM.
Berdoa senantiasa; ini yang ga kalah penting. Soalnya, kadang-kadang terlalu banyak berdoa itu ga baik, ga berdoa bisa celaka. Jadi, pakailah otak, hati, dan iman itu selaras dan seimbang lah. Jangan hanya doa saja atau otak saja atau hati saja. Bisa-bisa terjatuh.. Minta hikmat sama Tuhan deh. Serahkan semua kekhawatiran kita : )
Jadi kesimpulannya gw harus ACT buat kedepannya. Sudah cukup SPEAK nya ; p

Baru gw mulai belajar kimia buat besok sesudah post yang terahir untuk vote teman gw lomba ke Cina membawa nama Indonesia.. Muncul Agnes Monica di salah satu TV swasta nasional and it was something for me! Like a strengthening words she says on that program!
What really into me was the words she said. If I don't mistaken she said, "Thanks to Lord Jesus Christ, my Best Friend ever, and my Best Manager (...)" -> she said it in Bahasa.
And I was like.. "Have I thanked God tonight? Or involve Him in everything I do?"
I listened to the TV and left my beloved chemistry book on my bed. Agnes Monica has implanted me a kind of power I have never learned before. The power of dreaming!

My OSIS Campaign is over. I have told my best, mostly I talked what my heart desires. How could a school can save a life and more? How could a school build a healthy community which support not only the family members but also the society needs? How a school could save the Earth starts from its surroundings? How could a school complete each other potential and weakness? How could a school make an organization that could give 900 students' and tens of teachers' some opportunities to train their ability? This is honestly what I see for SMAK 1 BPK PENABUR Bandung for the next years and after, until God choose a youth to supervise His new vision for my beloved school, ours.
Many people from grade X, XI, and XII asked me about what I'm doing. It seems like.... What I see, I think, and I miss are nearly impossible! But to me, nothing is impossible! When a program isn't accomplished, it is only being postponed. What we have started NEVER be nothing, it starts something BIG in the future. We never failed, but what we expect to happen NOW never always really happened. There is always a time to change and to start a change. "To start a change" is what I am doing NOW!
These days I have been thinking about saving a life, saving a generation, saving a family:

What are the advantages of doing a blood donation?
Make your body fresh which means your brain functions be better because you will produce new blood.
You could save a life you don't know from any races. It could be a baby or sick people.
You could save your close relatives' life.
You are doing something good. To get used to helping people sincerely.
Humbling your self down, shaping your character.
And many more will you feel after you donate your blood.
Why should we donate our blood?
Because I want to save a life! *How if the one who needs blood is you? Or may be your best friends or families?*
If you don't want to donate blood, you may donate your money! For the leak of facilities : )
A tree for a single breathe and pollutions for destruction
40 years later it is possible that we will buy oxygen besides foods! Imagine if oxygen is no longer free?
20 years later it is possible that we won't feel comfortable if we don't use AC due to the high temperature.
10 years later it is possible that we won't see the same beaches we see today.
Every years later it is possible for a species to extinct and our children mayn't see them alive.
Other problems are polluted waters and our land filled in with trashes.
The UV light may get through our atmosphere someday. Yes, someday if we don't ACT!
We don't want such a thing happened. We need a generation who think about these problems and do something to overcome them!IT IS US!
What could we do?
Don't litter any trash if there is no trash bag or another trash container
Save water and use it wisely
Save ENERGY not only electricity
Tell your close friends and relatives about the importance of a Life Green
Read articles about our nature and its condition regularly
Avoid using much paper; Use both sides of the paper
Save files in electronic devices such as cellphones and laptop
Recycle reduce reuse recover
And many other actions we can do...

Orang kedua terjatuh dan hanya tersenyum sebab bagi dirinya senyum dirinya lah yang dapat mengobati, tak ada senyum orang lain yang cukup tulus untuk mengeringkan air mata.
Orang ketiga terjatuh dan menyeringai karena dia tidak tahu kemana dia berjalan dan apa yang dia tuju. Dia hanya terjatuh di lubang yang sama tanpa maju ke lubang selanjutnya.
Pada saat mereka bertiga sampai pada ujung daratan, mereka akan berlayar menuju satu tempat yang hanya angin tahu.
Entah bagaimana cara ketiganya bisa bertahan selain menopang satu sama lainnya. Itu pun terjadi bila senyum menyembuhkan seringai, dan seringai membangkitkan diam.
Satu pikiran berkata tidak maka sampailah mereka pada kebinasaan.
Satu perkataan terucap iya maka rendah lah hatinya tak memaksakan kehendak sendiri.
Satu kebohongan menutupi semuanya sebab tidak pernah ku temukan sosok yang benar-benar jujur di dunia ini.
Di ujung laut mereka turun, berharap Tuhan masih beserta setiap dari mereka; masih beserta mereka.
Sebab perjalanan mereka adanya makin berat bukanlah ringan dan menggembirakan.
Tetapi ketiga orang ini bersukaria dalam isak tangis dan kehausan jiwa.
Semakin jauh dari kenyamanan, semakin kuatlah mereka. Sebab, kenyamanan adalah fana dan tidak menguatkan.
Satu pikir, satu ucap, satu dusta.
Tiga tusuk gigi berbeda noda lebih kuat dari satu tusuk utuh.
Egoislah kita manusia yang menganggap diri kuat, sebab kelemahan orang adalah kuatnya kita.

Gw merasa hari ini sesuatu banget soalnya gw merasa tekanan yang Tuhan kasih buat gw selama berhari-hari itu di pakai buat meng-upgrade gw biar bisa ngomong di depan kelas X, XI, dan XII saat kampanye CaKetOs a.k.a. Calon Ketua OSIS EKLESIA 2011/2012. Jujur gw sering banget adu bibir sama sesosok guru yang bikin gw ditempa abis-abisan mentalnya (thanks to her for her tough thoughts).. Bener-bener gw itu kesulitan dalam 100% tunduk di bawah otoritas. Tapi itu guru satu bener-bener karena kekuatan omongan, ucap bibirnya OBJEKTIF (seorang pemimpin kudu objektif dan netral kalo yang gw tangkep dari dia).
Gw tadi dengan tim sukses yang bikin gw bangga (Jason, Jessen, Ivan, Ogi, Yonathan K.) masuk di tengah-tengah kampanye yang udah mulai gara-gara ga kuat nungguin gw -> udah telat sok gaya lagi berasa orang penting jalan pelan-pelan di kawal 5 orang : p
*Sebenernya gw tuh salah denger dan ga konsen kalau kampanye itu di ruang kebaktian SMP bukan di AVA (ruang audiovisual) karena baru dikasitahu malam H-1 kalo besok kampanye jadi gw ga nyiapin apa-apa kecuali doa dan minta dikuatkan. Saking ga nyiapin apa-apa, yang lain pakai kertas (2 caketos lainnya - my team not oppositions!), gw pake BB -- Karena gw telat datang sebelum kampanye gw ga tau apa saja rambu-rambu kampanye yang harus diikuti. Maen hajar bleh! Gw ngomong seadanya, tepatnya gw C URHAT soal sekolah itu, bukan menyuarakan program.*
**Buat gw siapapun yang terpilih jadi ketua umum itu bukan masalah (karena gw ga ambisius jadi Ketua Umum, tapi gw ambisius soal merubahkan atmosfer sekolah gw dan gw butuh sebuah TIM) -> tapi guru kesayangan gw yang ahir-ahir ini adu bibir terus sama gw (God bless OUR lips) malah ngomong:
"Kamu jangan merendah gitu. Itu namanya merendah untuk meroket, merendah untuk meningkatkan kualitas mu."
#lho tapi itu yang bener-bener gw tau tentang diri gw getho.. : /
Klimaks nya ada pada saat caketos 1, 2 (keduanya wanita) - (gw PRIA) sudah selesai kampanye 5 menit dan gw dapat giliran. Jujur gw ga tau apa yang harus gw omong, ga tau siapa yang harus gw tatap. Entah gimana caranya gw jadi tenang seperti air (lu kata ninja). Gw di awal melawak gagal; epic failure di depan kelas X.. Gw terlihat konyol mungkin dengan kacamata miring dan rambut acak kadut efek samping dari pake helm dengan baik, juga wajah berminyak seperti kepala sawit. Tapi ga tau gimana! Gw CURHAT soal kerinduan gw buat sekolah SMA gw, gw ga banyak bicara soal program OSIS. Malahan 2 orang kesempatan penanya menanyakan soal program gw karena waktu 5 menit ga cukup buat "curhat"-> sesuatu banget gitu loh.
Cuman apa yang gw curhatkan itu menjadi beban tersendiri buat gw.
Guys, you are what you say. You act what you say otherwise you will be labeled as a hypocrite. Because, a good leader must done what they have promised at the beginning.
Itu pembelajaran utama hari ini. Buat rangkuman curhat gw bisa jadi beberapa poin:
- SMAK 1 ga dingin lagi, semua ramah danga ada rasis program reguler - khusus, ga ada antara murid dan guru kebencian, ga ada gap-gap yang bikin kita ga nyapa satu sama lain dan yang bikin kita keliatan munafik.
- Menunjukan kalau sekolah gw bukan sekolah yang cupu, bukan cuman bisa akademis aja, tapi ada kasih sayang sama belas kasihan yang nyata buat orang yang kurang mampu, bahkan sahabat sendiri.
- Menunjukan talenta yang ada di SMAK 1 dan biar dunia tau kalau kita ini bukan remaja yang ga ada spirit pemuda. Biar dari musik, tarian, foto, dance, pemikiran, tindakan. Semuanya NYATA terlihat - Mau back to the basic, IMAN ILMU DAN PELAYANAN. Iman nya itu loh yang dikedepankan baru ilmu nya. Sekarang cenderung ke ilmunya yang gw liat. Jadi yang penting tuh gw observe, kesehatiannya yang bikin acara sesimpel apapun itu jadi luar biasa. OSIS itu hanya 1/10 malah kurang dari 900 siswa siswi. Jadi kalau 900 masa pemuda ini bisa bekerja sama tanpa gap. Gw percaya, sekolah ini bisa jadi yang terbaik nasional bahkan dunia!
Sebenernya masih banyak kerinduan kecil, tapi itu yang gw rasa perlu buat VISI sekolah gw di depan. Apa VISI sekolah lu? Ingat kalau lu berani ngomong, lu harus berani merealisasikan omongan lu or minimal mendukung nya.You made yourself what you say.
N.B. Buat anak SMAK 1 BPK PENABUR Bandung yang baca post gw yang ini, pilihlah bukan apa yang baik menurut lu. Yang terbaik buat lu bukanlah selalu yang tertepat. Ini hanyalah ketua, yang menggerakan roda adalah kalian, diwadahi OSIS. Yang gw sampaikan adalah nilai-nilai gw. Cerna baik-baik karena setiap orang unik. God bless every school in Bandung. Amen!

Semangat ku kini seperti sumbu lilin yang menyala..
Yang nyaris habis dan membesar sekjab dan mati..
Nyali ku ciut karena hayalku menyerang hati ku..
Nyatanya tak pernah senyata yang ku bayangkan..
Aliran harapan terbelah dan mengering karena nya..
Berpasang-pasangan mata orang-orang menatapku..
Menjadi saksi bagi kegagalan ku yang sejati..
Menjadi penghangus dan bukan penyegar lara..
Sebuah perjuangan menuju dinding pembatas raksasa..
Sedikit lagi Tuhan! Aku ingin dobrak pembatas itu!
Biarkan kasih-Mu lah yang mengalir di hati kami!
Biar tidak ada lagi rasis, tidak ada lagi pembeda..
Biar orang katakan aku berbeda dari mereka..
Karena aku tahu tujuan ku mulia adanya..
Rindu agar sahabat ku kenal dengan sahabat mereka..
Agar mereka yang di atas sadar dengan yang di bawah..
Maaf sudah vakum sekian lama.. Kesibukan di tengah liburan menjebloskan gw ke hari tanpa buka laptop dan menekuni kegemaran gw dalam mengetik. Fhew!
Jadi, gw secara memaksa menjadi calon ketua OSIS.. Dulu 5 bulan sebelum naik kelas 11, ga tau kemasukan apa gw tiba-tiba semangat banget menjadi Ketua OSIS. Gw tanyain satu-satu mantan OSIS dan anak-anak OSIS, gw tanya youth pastor di Gereja, tanya temen-temen terdekat dan teman-teman kelas, gw jabanin WK gw sampai akhir tahun ada doa untuk gw menjadi calon KetOs.. Sampai-sampai gw sudah membentuik tim sukses gw dan juga program-program nya jauh sebelum pemilihan nya! Januari - September = 9 bulan sebelum pemilihan dan pencalonan!
Gw yang agak-agak shock juga sebener nya waktu di panggil jadi calon itu soalnya ke dua pesaing gw itu CEWE dan LEBIH PINTER (kayanya pada ga ngeganyem vetsin kaya gw LoL) juga keduanya pernah jadi ketua OSIS di SMP terdahulu. Ga cuman itu, salah satu calon ketua nya sekarang cici nya adalah ketua OSIS sekarang (kelas 12 , gw sendiri kelas 11). Gw merasa dia ada back up tenaga pendukung dan kedua calon lainnya nge-MOS in pula.. Sudah jatuh tertimpa anak tangga patah tulang terus keinjek lah kasarnya hahhaha.. Sebagai pembanding:
1. Gw pernah di skors gara-gara salah pake sepatu waktu midtest.
3. Pengalaman gw bersitegang dengan beberapa guru sampai beberapa waktu itu lumayan banyak.
4. Gw pernah kesita hape di SMP tiap taun sekali di SMA baru sekali.
5. Gw nilai afektif agama C di semester satu which meant I almost stay in the X grade for one more year.(Gara-gara telat dateng doa pagi aja sih soalnya gw mentingin dd gw yang cewe pergi bareng gw sekolah yang SMP)
Yang gw baru inget segitu sih dan satu yang jelas.. Di SKORS itu ga enak karena di SKORS nya di sekolah bukan di rumah
Tapi satu yang gw rasa. Ini memang panggilan gw dan entah kenapa gw juga diramalkan oleh WK SMP gw kalau gw bakal jadi ketua OSIS sejak gw jadi ketua MPK kelas 9.
Life is irrational for some rational people. Hahaha! Lagi pula program gw agak-agak kontradiksi kaya disco time atau dance couple kaya di film HP waktu di Goblet of Fire hahaha.. Kantin kejujuran yang agak sulit di laksanakan. Upacara yang MUNGKIN (gw percaya) tapi terbatas oleh ketidak adaan lahan. Lomba fitsal dan basket antar sekolah yang sangat mungkin tapi terbatas oleh jadwa sekolah yang padat. Dari semua itu. kurangnya tenaga kerja OSIS yang kalau kebanyakan pun kurang efektif. Gw simpulkan permasalahan sukses tidaknya suatu program di SMAK 1 adalah kurangnya rasa kebersamaan antar semua kelas mau reguler, biling, CIP, aksel.. Kalau aja ada itu kasih sayang dan kepedulian juga tenggang rasa yg lebih di semua siswa siswi. SMAK 1 bisa jadi sekolah yang bukan saja kategori favorit tapi juga terhebat se Bandung bahkan Indonesia!
P.S. Mohon doanya semoga calon ketua umum nya yang terbaik karena gw tau gw bukan siapa-siapa dan kemampuan gw sebenernya ga hebat juga dalam kepemimpinan. Thanks all <3
